I promise not to give play-by-play updates as each block is completed, but I was just so darned pleased at how this first one came together. Me, a glass of wine, my sewing machine, a Friday night....now just 39 more of his brothers and sisters to put together and we'll have a quilt!
When I was done with the block, there were several little "toast points" of fabric left. Rather than waste them, I stitched them together into little squares. I think I'm going to keep doing that as I go along. It only took about five extra minutes. Maybe I'll sew them into a matching pillowcase or something?
