My self-imposed rule is one adult-sized sweater per Christmas. It's a nice challenge. Gives me something to do, but not so much that I'm left in piles of yarn and tears. This year's choice was this gorgeous Snowbird pattern for my mother-in-law. It ended up such a cozy thing that I almost didn't want to give it away. I strongly considered wearing it over my jammies for the entire rest of winter.
But, little surprise, it got popped into a sack for Christmas Day, and I think my Nice Mother-In-Law may wear it for the rest of winter, instead. I hope so, anyway! (And meanwhile, I'm planning a nice Spring sweater for myself. Just bought the yarn at an after Christmas sale, today!)
