A Beautiful Morning
Waking up the first morning in the cabin was a bit disorienting. In my real life, even on mornings I sleep in, the first thing I do when I wake is to look at my alarm clock. But there was no clock to look at here, and being tucked into the hills as we were, it was hard to tell whether I had woken up early or not.
I wish I could convince myself to make time every morning for a cup of coffee on a porch swing, followed by eggs seasoned via ancient cast iron skillet.

The butternut squash risotto looks absolutely delicious. Funnily enough I have just made some butternut squash soup, having decided the cooler nights of Autumn warranted a nice bowl of home made soup.
Will be trying your recipe for risotto very soon.

How hard was it to come home after a trip like this? :)

It was hard! But the modern world does have it's compensations! Now going back to work tommorow is going to be another story....
